Shanna Reyes, PsyD

Shanna Reyes is a licensed clinical psychologist, certified executive coach, and seasoned behavioral science expert with more than two decades of experience in high-stakes interviewing, assessment, and human performance optimization. She began her military career in 2006 as a clinical psychology intern at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, obtaining her doctorate from George Washington University in 2008. She completed all levels of Army professional military education, culminating with Senior Service College at the U.S. Army War College in 2025.

Over the course of her career, Shanna has developed deep expertise in investigative interviewing and strategic information gathering across operational, intelligence, and national security environments. As an operational psychologist supporting U.S. Army Special Operations for more than 11 years, she led and advised on assessment and selection programs for high-risk operators, aviators, flight crews, enablers, and specialized role players. In these environments—where performance, judgment, and character result in strategic impacts—her work centered on extracting accurate, meaningful information through structured individual interviews, panel proceedings, and scientifically grounded assessment design. Her expertise enabled measuring risk mitigation against return on investment, ensuring organizations selected and developed the right talent for mission-critical roles.

In 2019, Shanna transitioned to the intelligence community, where she applied advanced psychological assessment and interviewing methodologies to insider threat detection, investigative support, intelligence operations, and suitability evaluations for sensitive national security positions. Her work required nuanced behavioral analysis, credibility assessment, and the ability to decipher meaningful data in complex, often ambiguous contexts. She has also provided periodic support and consultation to the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Joint Commands, and other government agencies.

Beyond operational and investigative domains, Shanna is an experienced facilitator of executive and professional development programs. She delivers one-on-one executive coaching, leads organizational development initiatives, and teaches advanced, science-based techniques to enhance performance and decision-making under pressure. Her passion lies in equipping professionals with the behavioral insight, interviewing precision, and cognitive discipline required to mitigate risk, strengthen investigative outcomes, and elevate organizational effectiveness.

As part of the Somoetic team, Shanna brings a rare blend of clinical rigor, operational credibility, and real-world investigative experience—ensuring training in interviewing and information gathering is not only theoretically sound, but field-tested in the most demanding environments.
